Marie DuSault is an attorney with the firm’s Motions and Appeals Department, which, inter alia, briefs matters in all areas of the firm’s practice and in all phases, from pre-inception of an action to post-trial appeals. Joining the firm in 2004, since that time Marie has handled successfully numerous motions and appeals throughout New York State, and has conducted Continuing Legal Education course on the evolving issue of discovery of social networking sites.
Contributing to her ability to zealously argue for her clients in her legal writings, Marie has had diverse legal experience, with internships in law school at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District, with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office, and with United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District, while achieving awards for her academic performance, and with prior appellate practice in a general practice law firm, where her legal work encompassed the gamut of actions in New York State and Federal Court.
With this background, Marie has been applying that skill to aggressively analyze and respond to the unique needs of each case in the personal injury, medical malpractice, Labor Law, and other actions she has worked on for the firm. Supplementing her dedication to her work as a lawyer, Marie is an avid runner, enjoys kayaking and hiking, and participates in community theater, acting in plays for theater groups in Orange, Sullivan and Dutchess counties.
