Mr. Acard has been a personal injury trial attorney for over 25 years and has tried cases throughout New York State. Before becoming a plaintiff’s trial attorney he spent ten years as in-house counsel and trial attorney for one of the nation’s largest insurance carriers. This perspective has given Mr. Acard a unique advantage in negotiating and trying cases against insurance companies and their attorneys. He has settled several multi-million dollar cases for workers injured in construction related accidents and motor vehicle accidents. He also achieved a large confidential settlement in New York City for a double amputee who was then able to buy a handicapped accessible vehicle and make improvements to his home. Mr. Acard lives in Hyde Park and works out of our Dutchess County office.
