Mr. Shuttleworth has practiced law since 1990 and has represented accident victims exclusively since joining the firm in 1993. Since then he has been active in all phases of litigation and specializes in complex motion and appellate practice. He has won numerous appeals and motions throughout the state and has a multitude of published decisions on a variety of diverse legal issues. His efforts have resulted in either winning or preserving substantial settlements and verdicts for hundreds of clients. He is also active in the firm’s efforts to preserve accident victims’ recoveries from insurance liens and has handled several issues of first impression in this regard as well as aspects of bankruptcy as such relates to the preservation of accident victims’ rights. .
Additionally, Mr. Shuttleworth is an ongoing instructor for the firm’s Continuing Legal Education program, which provides training for area attorneys. He has handled seminars for Basic Motion Practice, Premises Liability, Dealing with Healthcare Liens and more. Mr. Shuttleworth has also instructed at the Business Law and Legal Nurse Programs offered by Marist College.
When not at the office Mr. Shuttleworth enjoys spending time with his family, the gym and restoring old motorcycles.
