A woman was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center after a boating accident on the Hudson River last Saturday night, August 3. The accident came just 8 days after the bride-to-be was killed in another accident on the Hudson. Reporters found a man, who was believed to have left the scene of the accident, asleep inside the Roseton power-generating facility at 4am. The boat crashed near the plant at 9:47pm on Saturday. The man refused to take a breathalyzer test when authorities awoke him. Two of the four people in the boat were hospitalized. Both are in stable condition. Authorities are still investigating whether alcohol might have been involved in the accident. The Coast Guard stated that the operator of the boat managed to get it close to the Roseton generating facility before it sank. It seemed that the boat collided with rocks near the plant before it sank. It was not clear on Sunday if charges were pending for the boat’s operator.
