Last Monday, a woman was attacked by 2 teenagers before she fired shots into the crowd assaulting her. Beulah Montgomery, 60, says she was walking home when 7 teens approached her. Montgomery initially thought they were going to try and steal her belongings but says instead she was hit by one of the teens. That is when she grabbed her gun and starting shooting. Once the shots were fired toward the teens, they started to flee. However, two of the teens did not make it without being hit. Beulah is a member of the local neighborhood watch and said she has always carried a gun after being mugged once before. Montgomery fired 5 shots hitting one of the teens in the chest and the other in the stomach. Because of their age, police are not releasing the names at this time. The teens did die from gun shot wounds. Police are still searching for the rest of the teens responsible for the attack. Police have not yet charged Montgomery, who was detained and later released. This is one of many attacks as part of this horrifying game, Knockout that teens are playing across the East Coast. Again, we remind everyone to be safe when walking alone and to always be alert!
