As you gear up for Halloween this year be sure to brush up on your Halloween safety tips. The Dutchess County Sherriff’s office provided several tips for trick or treaters this year, including:
• Be bright at night—use reflective tape on costumes and treat bags, wear light colors, and carry flashlights.
• Always look both ways and listen for traffic before crossing roadways.
• Cross at corners, not between parked cars or mid-block.
