On Saturday, July 15th a free Bike Fest is taking place at the Kingston Library from 12:00pm until 3:00pm.
This event will include a children’s bike skills program (no bike needed), a community bike repair clinic, a helmet fitting clinic, a free community barbecue for participants (provided by the Kingston Elks Lodge 550), and lots of information on bicycle and pedestrian safety in Kingston. –The Daily Freeman
We hope our friends and neighbors in the Kingston community will seize this opportunity to learn more about safe cycling. According to Safekids.org every year 26,000 children are seen in emergency departments for traumatic brain injuries related to bicycle riding. Many bicycle related injuries, like traumatic brain injuries, are painful and have lasting effects.
