Good-natured people often wish veterans a “Happy Veterans Day.” But we know it’s not as much a day to be “happy” as it is a day to remember the sacrifices made by our fellow veterans. As Mark Twain once said, “The patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.” Thank you for serving our country.
